GRAUX respects its environment and aims to leave no harmful traces of its activity on the environment by managing waste, energy and water in an ecological way.
Manufacturing parts, assemblies and subassemblies of special machines for industry and respecting the environment are not incompatible. GRAUX proves it by becoming the largest producer of green energy in the Chimay region.
The 343 photovoltaic panels installed in 2015 on our roofs produce approximately 100 Mwh/year. That is the annual equivalent of 450 tons of CO2 in ‘classic’ production (nuclear and gas). Enough to cover a good part of our energy needs.
By entrusting your projects to GRAUX, you will also contribute to the protection of nature.
GRAUX works mainly with metal, which is an infinitely recyclable material. Our suppliers, the steelmakers, remelt up to 25% of the metal in each new manufacture. In the return cycle, we supply them with our offcuts and chips from the machining process.
Although our other wastes and residues are present in small quantities, we are working to improve their management and recovery, in particular in collaboration with specialized companies.
Our air emissions are limited thanks to welding fume filtration technology that is over 99% efficient and is IFA/W3 and ISO 15012-1 certified. In addition, our atmospheric emissions are checked annually by an approved body.
GRAUX continually invests in sustainable technologies to reduce energy consumption.
