Well-deserved retirement for Marc CHANTEUX

38 years at the helm of GRAUX’s success.

After 43 years of work, 38 of which have been dedicated to the development of GRAUX, the time has come for Marc CHANTEUX, Managing Director, to take a breather and enjoy a well-deserved retirement.

Marc, Albert Graux’s son-in-law, started onOctober 1st, 1980 with the company ACM Momignies which later merged with “Ateliers Graux” to become “GRAUX”. At first, Marc worked on the follow-up of the manufacturing process and then quickly took over the commercial relations in a very natural way. His keen interest in mechanics and machining also led him to develop the company’s know-how in the fields of turning, milling and mechanical assembly, which would prove to be a key to GRAUX’s success.

Marc CHANTEUX, craftsman of GRAUX’s vision: Cooperate to last.

In 2002, Marc became Managing Directeur. He brings business development skills to the company and enhances GRAUX’s capabilities in terms of infrastructure, machinery, personnel and expertise.

Marc is also the architect of many long-term collaborations. His sense of partnership, underpinned by his values of transparency, quality and hard work will enable collaborative projects of unprecedented scale. It gives all its letters of nobility to the values defended by the company, from its creation in 1934 to this day. These values are: rigor, realism and sharing.

The 4th generation takes over.

Having always been concerned about the sustainability of the company, Marc has been developing a continuity plan for several years with the help of his son Julien who will take over the reins on September1st, 2018. Julien has been involved in the management of GRAUX since 2003 as a director and has been active since 2010.

A strong technical team to lead ambitious projects.

The experienced technical team of GRAUX is led by 4 project managers, (electro-) mechanical engineers, who offer solutions for every special machine or mechanical assembly construction. They are assisted by a team of preparers and designers, in order to elaborate the details of the fabrications. GRAUX’s entire staff now consists of 40 people.
