Thanks to large size milling and boring machines, Graux enables you to work with fine tolerances on welded sets that are several meters long and up to 12.6 tons.
Our boilermakers and welders build sets made of sheet metal, tubes and profiles of any thickness while controlling the deformation. This guarantees precision to within the sub-millimeter range per linear meter.
If needed, stress relief annealing is carried out to release a maximum of the stresses induced in the material by the welding process.
For applications that require tolerances lower than five tenths of a millimeter per linear meter, the welded sets are mounted on the benches of our milling and boring machines by experienced setter-operators to be further machined.
Unlike raw materials, the welded sets require considerable experience to balance the parts appropriately and optimize the machining positions.
The technicians then perform the surfacing, drilling and reaming to guarantee very tight tolerances in positioning, parallelism and surface condition.
